DevFacto Named Alberta’s Fastest Growing Company

DevFacto Technologies Inc. has been named Alberta’s fastest growing company by Alberta Venture Magazine, with sales increasing 2,288 per cent since 2007.

“It is a great honour to be recognized by Alberta Venture as Alberta’s fastest growing company,” said Christians Izquierdo, DevFacto’s CEO. “We have actively managed our growth to date, often erring on the side of caution to ensure our team grows at a reasonable pace which is essential in maintaining our high quality of customer service. Our hiring process is rigorous and we’re determined to continue to hire great people to help us succeed.”

A key factor to DevFacto’s success has been focusing on the core components of its business model. David Cronin, DevFacto’s COO, says, “Everything that is not part of the software development and system integration services we deliver to our clients is outsourced. We were an early-adopter of cloud services and everything from our timesheets, payroll, and book-keeping to procurement and email systems are run by vendors that specialize on these services.“ An even more important factor has been the attention paid to the people says Cronin, “from our customers who pay for our services, to the end-users using the systems we build, to our consultants who are delivering the services --- if every single person is having a good experience then we have success”.

At the awards ceremony in Calgary on February 9, 2011, Izquierdo congratulated the entire DevFacto team for their hard work and dedication. “It has always being interesting to me how CEOs and other C-level executives get to accept awards that are anything but theirs,” he said. “Today, it is my turn.” Izquierdo closed with a challenge to the business community and a commitment to continued growth. “I find it impressive when companies make the list year after year, and some of you have done that.
